Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of PaperDock's public website, desktop app, downloads, update requests, feedback channels, and future web collaboration services.
Using PaperDock
You may use PaperDock to create, edit, compile, review, and manage LaTeX projects. You are responsible for the files, text, images, bibliography data, and other content you process with PaperDock.
Desktop-First Release
PaperDock's first public focus is the local desktop app. Web collaboration and sync features described on the website are planned features unless they are explicitly marked as available.
Local and Future Web Projects
PaperDock is designed to support local-first workflows. Local-only projects remain on your computer unless you choose to connect them to a future web sync or collaboration feature. When such features are available, selected files may be copied to PaperDock's web service to provide the requested functionality.
Your Content
You retain ownership of your project content. If you use any future sync or collaboration feature, you grant PaperDock the limited permission needed to store, process, display, synchronize, and transmit your selected content for the purpose of providing that service.
Downloads and Third-Party Tools
PaperDock may use local LaTeX tools, PDF rendering tools, installers, hosting providers, and other third-party services. Compiler output, PDF rendering, SyncTeX location matching, and automated tooling may contain errors. You should review generated documents and project changes before relying on them.
Acceptable Use
You may not use PaperDock to violate laws, infringe others' rights, distribute malware, attempt to disrupt the service, bypass security controls, or access data or systems without authorization.
Availability and Changes
PaperDock is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the product as it evolves. We may also update these terms from time to time by posting a revised version with a new effective date.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaperDock is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.
